    Hi,
What season is best for planting citrus trees? Thanks.

    Mollie

    • NorthParkNursery - September 12, 2013

Hi Mollie. You can feel confident planting citrus trees year-round if you are located here in San Diego, where our winters are very mild. Different citrus fruit at different times throughout the year, so be sure to find out which time your desired citrus fruits and plant at least 2 to 3 months prior to give your plant time to grow new roots and shoots before fruiting. Please feel free to call, e-mail or stop in with additional questions!

We stopped by today looking at various options to replace the dying Sego Palm on our full sun front porch and really liked the Salvia clevelandii. Could you also please let us know when you have more of the Herniaria Glabra (Rupturewort or Green Carpet) in stock. See you soon.
    Thanks,
    Michael

Hi, I’m excited to visit your new store. Congratulations! I was wondering if you accept back the empty plastic pots From plants I’ve bought for re-use or recycling.

I received a $100 gift certificate for Christmas. I would like to use it toward a planter box. I need one custom made. Is that something Mooch can do for me?

    Hi,

Do you carry any Fuyu Persimmon trees? When is it best to plant? We would love to purchase from a local nursery than order from afar.

    Thanks.

I am looking for a Royal Empress Tree as a memorial for my wife. Can you help me find one?

    • NorthParkNursery - May 3, 2016

Hello Mike, we do not supply the Royal Empress Tree as it is considered an invasive species by the state of California. Reputable nurseries will not sell this species of tree, but you can purchase it online or through small, non-registered local vendors. We’d be happy to recommend some less-invasive trees that have the same beautiful traits, such as the jacaranda! Give us a call at 619.795.1855 if we can help. :)

Looking for a fast growing NON INVASIVE TREE that doesn’t get thick
Podicarpis seems so root invasive! It is lifting up a wall so please help with another suggestion

    • NorthParkNursery - May 3, 2016

Hi Donna, there are lots of non-invasive trees with a lacy or open habit that we think you’d love! We’d be happy to make recommendations based on your specific needs – some plants to consider include desert willow, palo verde, mesquite and more. Call us at 619.795.1855 for current stock and suggestions. :)

    Hello,
I’m looking for somewhere that I can periodically purchase very small patches of sod (for an emergency indoor pet potty). Is there anything that you carry that I may be able to use? It seems like everywhere that carries sod sells it by the pallet which is WAY too much. :)

    • NorthParkNursery - May 3, 2016

Angela, what a unique situation! We do carry certain kinds of grass in flats – generally these are ornamental varieties such as Carex pansa, mondo grass, Korean grass and no-mow. If you think one of these would work for you, please give us a call at 619.795.1855 to discuss current stock or special ordering!
